At our die steel plant located in Ahmedabad, we produce die steel materials designed specifically for die-making applications, as well as for cutting and shaping at industrial workshops and manufacturing plants. This type of die steel is typically selected for its high strength, wear resistance and machining stability.
WPS die steel is supplied in round bar form, or other size bars can be manufactured to meet the specific applications of the end user. Processed using controlled heat-treating processes and surface finishing, each bar has uniform hardness and internal structure throughout the entire piece. To ensure dimensional accuracy and straightness before they leave the facility, we perform inspections on all of our bars before shipping them out because it is crucial that tooling work is done accurately in both dimensions and straightness of tooling parts. Inconsistent steel will cause tooling failures and lost production. Consistency and reliability are our main focus in this process!
The selection of raw materials for tooling and engineering use comes exclusively from qualified sources, ensuring long-lasting performance and durability against deformation.
Once selected, the die steel is stored and handled carefully so as not to damage the surface finish of the raw material while in transit around Gujarat and throughout India.

Heat Treatment Guidelines
Hardening Temperature: 830°C – 870°C
Quenching Medium: Oil or air (as suitable)
